ZRP 1.07 R5

This is a shortened version of the actual readme, meant as 
a web quick-start guide. You will benefit by reading the 
actual readme file included with the archive. You should 
also glance at the change notes in the docs\ directory.

Primarily a community bug-fix patch mod for STALKER, Shadow of 
Chernobyl, the ZRP is also a very configurable set of tweaks 
and mini-mods to reduce annoyances and enhance your gameplay 
experience -- without changing the gameplay itself.

It will work with SoC patched to 1.0004, 1.0005 or 1.0006. Steam 
and GOG currently use 1.0006. You don't need to start a new 
game if you were only playing vanilla or older versions of ZRP.

If you have crashes or issues, see this website's pages which 
address crashes in the game and general troubleshooting. Most 
issues can easily be resolved.

Manual installation:

If you have not used any mods for SoC before:

1.) Extract the ZRP 1.07 archive with 7-Zip or compatible 
archived file extractor to a convenient location.

2.) Drag/drop the gamedata\ directory from the extracted ZRP 
1.07 archive into your STALKER installation directory. DO NOT 
OVERWRITE any existing gamedata directory; rename it first. 
(The diffs\ directory is for modders.)

3.) Edit fsgame.ltx and change any occurrence of "false" on the 
second line to "true" (without the quotes) and save your change. 
The line will look like this when you are finished:

$game_data$   		= true|	true|	$fs_root$|		gamedata\

4.) Play. If all went well, the main menu should show ZRP version 
info on the lower left with the SoC patch version.

5.) Read the docs to get the most out of the ZRP patch-mod. It 
has a lot of features that can make your game experience more 
enjoyable.


If you have installed a mod other than ZRP previously:

You will have to completely remove the previous mod and your 
old saves will not be compatible. See the "Installing Mods" 
section of the Troubleshooting FAQ on this site.

Note that all saves made with this version of the ZRP will not 
be compatible with vanilla or other mods without ZRP support.
